If you have the same address and port number in both your e-mail client and in PostCast Server, then it is possible that some application running on your computer blocks the traffic on port 25.

Almost every security application interferes with the mail sending and receiving in attempt to block spam and viruses. If you are running such software on your computer, or if a default Windows firewall is enabled, you can experience various problems.

You need to instruct your firewall to allow inbound and outbound traffic on TCP and UDP port 25 and 53. Try to find the appropriate settings somewhere in the software you are using. If there is such an option, instruct your firewall or anti-virus software to allow PostCast Server to send and receive messages, use the Internet, and to run as a server and accept incoming connections.

Open the Properties window for the Internet connection in Windows and in the Advanced tab see if the "Internet Connection Firewall" option is selected. If you are using Windows XP SP2 default firewall, you would need to make a few small changes. For more information, please see this web page:

The problem may occur if network traffic is going through a router or switch that kills sessions if they are idle too long. There could be too much traffic and not enough bandwidth for the program to maintain its connection.

Make sure all firewalls are disabled and see if that fixes the problem. You can instruct your firewall to allow traffic coming from PostCast Server on ports 25, 53 and 80.

I had this same problem, I found that the Protection access task in McAfee had a Mail Bomb setting that blocked outbount access to port 25.

I can see by your log that you use google mail. Google requieres SSL, and I think postcast server doesnt support right now

All of you were talking about port 25 problems, and even if your ISP is blocking that port, with google you dont need it at all (believe me, I tried )Because google uses port 465 or 587 for smtp its a good work around for port 25 blocking.

also the problem could be your smtp settings

google should be configured like this

1 Enable POP in Gmail (under your preferences settings in your web account). Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.
2) Configure your client to match the settings below:
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name: your Gmail username (including @gmail.com)
Email Address: your full Gmail email address
password: your Gmail password

I hope this helps some^^

I thought the whole point of using PostCast was to bypass using other SMTP providers and send mail directly? Why then does gmail have anything to do with this?
