Hello,

Using Postcast Proffesional v3.0.61
Windows 2008 SP1
CPU P4 2.8Ghz
Once a minute PostCast takes 100% utilisation for a periode of 5-10 seconds, even if there is no e-mail te send.
The 100% is also visible in the bottom-left of the PostCast window, sometimes the PostCast window goes completely blank, and the title bar say PostCast Server Professional v3.0.61 (not responding)
This slows down (actualy stops) other processes on this server. This is bad, because its also a webserver.
Logging is disabled, and i already created a new message database, but the problem remains.

Suggestions are welcome.
Regards,
Jack Duijf

CPU utilization is directly related to the database engine the program uses to store messages. You should not have any problems if there are no messages in the database. Make sure that all folders are empty and try to assign a lower priority for the postcastserver.exe process. Also, while working with the messages, when the program executes database queries, the database engine uses 30% of available system memory for a few seconds. If you have too many messages in the Outbox folder, this process can take a little longer.
